Bath time can be full of fun and giggles, but it can also be full of aches and pains, a clutter of bath toys and soap in the eye. I can’t do much for those soapy eye incidents, but the rest I’ve got covered now. I just got the 3-in-1 Sit and Store Tub-Side Seat from one of my favorite companies, One Step Ahead, and ladies – I am in bath time heaven. I first saw this genius product while flipping through the One Step Ahead catalog which I read religiously by the way and you totally should, too. Anyway, when I saw this little seat, it was like the light bulb went off. I need this, I thought. So when I got the opportunity to receive and review one I was literally giddy. Like all the One Step Ahead products I’ve tried so far, this one did everything I wanted it to, how I wanted it to. Even my skeptical husband was wowed by this one.

I loved the comfort of using this as a seat during my son’s bath – with a 300 pound weight load, I felt comfortable and knew it would support my weight, even while pregnant. My husband sat on it also and was comfortable as well. I liked the rounded edges of the top of the seat, it felt normal to be sitting on it, like it was clearly designed for this purpose. No hard corners to poke your legs while you sit. After his bath, I was able to put my son’s bath toys, soaps, etc. inside the stool, like the image shows above, and everything fit perfectly. It has air vents which allow moisture to escape, so no need to wait for them to be dry before storing.

Once he was toweled off and donning his pajamas, my son used the seat as a step stool while brushing his teeth. The stool is very sturdy, with a slip-resistant top and a wide, skid-resistant base. It is also a nice height and my son was able to reach the sink even better on this seat then he did on his old one. The seat also has 2 height positions, allowing for more comfort for a taller or shorter parent during bath time and a better reach for your child when using it as a step stool, depending on his or her height.
