I’m Devouring: The Greek God’s Greek Yogurt

You guys have probably figured out by now that I am more than a little bit infatuated with a good greek yogurt. The plain stuff is a super healthy, tasty substitute for sour cream in cooking. The flavored stuff, if done right, can be more heavenly than ice cream. Key words being "if done right" -

I Read: Heads You Lose by Lisa Lutz and David Hayward

Did you ever have a creative writing class in high school or college where the teacher wanted you to pair up with another classmate and you'd write one chapter and then they'd write the next chapter? Maybe even the whole class collectively tried to write a story together in this fashion and it inevi

I Read: The Shadow of the Wind 16a0 by Carlos Ruiz Zafón

The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón was my book club's pick for our March meeting - it's a great example of one of those amazing books that I never would have read if our club hadn't picked it. The description on the back of the book is just vague enough and head scratch inducing that I

My oldest child is starting kindergarten in the fall. This is a milestone which simultaneously thrills me and terrifies me. He is such a smart, inquisitive child - I have no doubt he is going to love the learning and social opportunities that school provides him. But it also makes me nervous that

The back seat of any car with kids is bound to become a disaster area of abandoned toys, temper tantrums and their favorite book which is always just out of reach. Add two kids and the toys are never near the child that wants them. The Kiddie Catch-All can't teach your children to share nicely bu

Aloha: American Idol

Last night I watched the results for this week's American Idol eliminations and I have to say I was stoked to see so many of my favorites get voted into the Top 10. I only said goodbye to two of the people in my list of favorites from the guys and girls (Brett and Rachel) which I think is pretty goo

American Idol Recap: Top 12 Girls Perform

Last night I watched the Top 12 girls perform on American Idol - live this time, so I could vote online after the show, much to my husband's chagrin as he is not so much a fan of American Idol, despite my attempts to lure him in. I thought the ladies overall did really well last night and found myse

American Idol Recap: Top 12 Guys Perform

I just finished watching the Top 12 guys perform on American Idol. I was both excited and disappointed to learn that American Idol is now doing online voting! I have been waiting for this for awhile now but was bummed because I was watching the DVRed episode the next day, too late to vote. Incentive
