With BlogHer coming around the corner (and fast!) I have been on the lookout for some new business cards online. I want to have a card that is fresh, different, and contains all of my social networking information. It’s hard to find that with other companies, and trust me, I checked out all the competitors with no luck.

UPrinting has been in the online printing business for 25 years. I love rearranging furniture in my house. Usually when I rearrange I will call over my sister, or vise versa she calls me over to help her out. Together we twist and turn the furniture and get way too hot and sweaty trying to make them look right. Sometimes after all the moving everything goes back to the way it was when we started, which is so frustrating. I wanted a way to figure out the look I was going for before I started moving everything around.

I have found that using room planning software can make the whole experience just as fun. But instead of lifting the furniture physically all you need to do is click the mouse to pick up a piece of furniture and twist it around.

One of my favorite room planning software to use when I am attempting to figure out furniture placement is using Bob’s Discount Furniture software. I like it for a few reasons:

2. You can do the little details and the big. Add plants, magazine racks, or a laptop to your desk. Or put in a Queen sized bed, hard wood flooring, or a rug.

I cannot wait to plan the furniture in my new home using this software. So then I will have the right furniture in the right places.  Below is the room planning I did for my dream office space. What I love about Bobs

Have you ever been to Bob’s Discount Furniture? It’s one of my all time favorite places to visit. I go and just fall in love with all of their furniture. The price is always right at Bob’s. For our next home purchase (soon I hope!) we have been eyeing the Patriot sofa and loveseat set. For only $799 you can get a whole living room set. It is gorgeous and priced in a way that I will be able to actually afford it.

Also, some locations feature “The Pit.” This cool section of certain stores (see all locations - those with a Pit center are notated) is the scratch and dent of furniture. It is where all of the furniture goes that might have a tiny scratch underneath or maybe someone special ordered it then changed their mind. All furniture in the Pit is usuable, gorgeous, and cheap! The price is surprising since Bob’s Discount Furniture is already so low priced. My neighbors purchased their sofa from the Pit for only $199, which is the starting price of couches. It is big, comfortable, and perfect. The only catch? You better bring a truck with you while shopping because you have to bring it home yourself and if you wait it could be gone!

Don’t be afraid to bring the children along, either. In each location they have complimentary (that means free!) cafe’s. According to Scott at my local Worcester, MA store (who was wonderful by the way!) they have candy, coffee, sodas, and even Hagen-Daz ice cream. It’s a fun outing for the whole family to enjoy!

1. Go to a local park. Sure everyone says this, but we barely ever do it. What we’ve been doing is trying new parks. Going out of our comfort range and seeing what the local parks have to offer. I never knew that one of our local parks has a Bat House (Not like the Bat Cave), until we went there and read all about it. Take a drive and stop, get out and enjoy. 2. Learn a little (or a lot). Go to your local Museum, Learning Center, or even Zoo. I know, this can be super expensive to do. We have a family of four and I’ve felt the crunch of trying to get us all to go to the Boston Aquarium or one of the other local attractions. What I have learned is that alot of these local places have free days. Once a month, usually on a set day, you can attend for free. So give them all a call and write down those days. Yes, it will be much busier that day but the trip will be worth it. Also, if you are a Bank of America card holder you can go to alot of local attractions for free by just having their card. Look into it B of A customers, it could be well worth it for you!
3. Go Camping. In your backyard I mean. Don’t have tents? Put up some bug repelent stuff and drag out the blankets! Enjoy your own backyard in this camping adventure. It’s basically no cost and can be fun for the whole family. Start a safe fire and tells stories around it. Rent a library book about astronomy and look at the stars.

Have you heard about the new Pepsi Natural (or maybe seen it in a store)? Sold in glass bottles for the slightly exorbitant price of $4.69 for a four pack of 12 oz. glass bottles, they do look very pretty and might intrigue people with the information that these versions of Pepsi contain no high fructose corn syrups and are sweetened with plain old sugar (42 grams of sugar I might add!). Still I’m not sure I’d spend that much for something that, at the end of the day, is still soda and still not great for you. How about you? Would you spend $12.50 per gallon (regular pepsi runs for $3.69 per gallon just to compare) for “natural” pepsi? In 2002 Cause Haun gave birth to a little boy named Kai.
