Aloha Friday: Halloween Costumes

Category : Featured Reviews, clothes shoes & accessories, memes & carnivals

It’s time for Aloha Friday, the day that you take it easy and look forward to the weekend, in Hawaii and blog land anyway. Over at An Island Life, Kailani decided that on Fridays she would take it easy on posting and ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link at An Island Life’s blog. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

I know it’s only August and for most of us, summer is still in full force, but my mind has been living in the fall these days. I’m already anticipating the leaves changing colors, drinking hot apple cider, pumpkin picking with my kids, baking pies for Thanksgiving and trick or treating this Halloween. I’ve actually already gotten costumes for both kids for Halloween this year and it got me to thinking about how we get those costumes. My Aloha Friday questions for you this week are…

  • Do you make your own costumes or buy? If you buy them, where do you typically go?
  • How much is too much for a Halloween costume? What do you typically spend?
  • What does your family do on Halloween? Trick or treating in the neighborhood or a local event?
  • Do you have any family traditions for this holiday? Will you dress up or just the kids?

Feel free to answer some or all of the questions above in the comments section below and check back soon for a review of my three year old’s Halloween costume this year – it has got to be one of the coolest costumes I’ve ever seen and I’m eager looking forward to bragging about it and the wonderful company it came from soon!
